"When we arrived we received heartfelt apologies that the heating was not working (and autumn chill had just set in). There was however an open fire in the dining room. The meal was acceptable, but not outstanding. I don't know if we were suffering from an end of season situation. There was no offer of any reduction from our bill as a measure of good will."

It was amazing , the bed was so comfortable and the ambiance of the house was delightful, our host was excellent and went out of his way to look after us , giving us an early breakfast so we could get an early train . "Good stay for a weekend break. Very clean and nicely done bathroom in keeping with the historic setting. The room decor could use a bit of a lift, but overall quite comfortable. If you look around the area a bit, you should be able to find free street parking. When the construction is done in the square, it will be a very nice setting for dining outside the hotel."
