"The street side of the resort hides all of the charm and comfort we experienced inside. The nice pool and patio area surrounded by tropical plants and trees was nice for relaxing around. Our room was quite comfortable with a large bed and plenty of space. The small table and chairs outside of the room, an under a ceiling fan, was great for evening and morning birdwatching ( monkeys too!). The breakfasts were very generous and tasty and the lunch and dinner menu gave plenty of options. We will stay again if visiting Manuel Antonio."

"La Mariposa is a hidden gem and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Staff at the front desk and restaurant were wonderful. Views were amazing. Communication was good when they hosted a wedding onsite and the restaurant hours were limited, so that other plans could be made. The only issues for me were the mattresses were a bit stiff ( ultra firm) and our room was a bit of a hike with many uphill stairs to climb when coming to or from the hotel proper. We got plenty of exercise but it would have been good if they checked to see if this was an issue."

"We loved the swimming pool and how close the beach was to the hotel. And the beach at that end was not busy at all. We felt like we had the beach to ourselves frequently. The room was small but we did not spend any time there. It was nice to have the fridge, toaster, microwave and coffee maker. "

"We loved our stay there . Very clean, very quiet, gorgeous view from our room/balcony and the dining area wonderful staff; we enjoyed the jacuzzi on the balcony in the evening in the middle of the rain forest. Several monkeys visited our balcony in the morning, and I took some great videos of them. I also saw them jump from tree to tree right outside our room. Exhilarating! Wish we could have stayed longer; can’t say anything about dinner as we arrived too late for us to eat, although the restaurant was still open. Great place! Warmly recommend."
