"This really is a 'leading hotel of the world'. I've been privileged enough to stay in some top hotels around the world and this was one of my favourites. Pristine inside and out. The pool area is stunning. Great bars and dining options. I liked the Galaxia Sky Bar which has fantastic views. Within a very short walk there are some nice restaurants and bars around the hotel. Fantastic breakfast with a huge choice. We had one of the Ocean View rooms on the 10th floor. It's soundproof and...

"1. The breakfast is excellent. 2. The hotel is nice, well mantained and in a good location. 3. It has a nice view, if you are in floor 8 and under you can't see the sunrise, but you can see the sunset which is superb. 4. the room was ok - perhaps adding an airfreshener or something to make the room fresher and smeeling nicer would be great. Beds are alright, and the bedroom is well equipped. The down side: 5. The parking: it said €5 per day in both leaftlet and website and we were charged...

"It was a nice quite property with an amazing view of the ocean. The hotel has its own shuttle service that can take you to Funchal but also across the street is public bus that is more frequent. Close by is also a swimming area as well as snorkeling equipment rental that you could get to jump in the ocean. The property has nice clean pools, sauna, spa and hammam which we really enjoy. "
