You definitely will need a hire car if you want to explore the local area, as porto moniz is quite small with just a handful of places to go."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, located in a peaceful area that's just a short walk from the oceanfront and not far from the town center. There are plenty of great restaurants, bars, and cafés nearby. The breakfast selection was impressive, and the rooftop bar offered amazing views, along with expertly crafted drinks from the talented bartenders. The service was top-notch, with the front desk team being exceptionally friendly, especially Luis who gave us a warm welcome at check-in. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!"

"The breakfast was fresh, with a variety of choice. The bedroom was nice clean and spacious with a view that was amazing to watch the sunrise each morning from the balcony. The facilities were good, the bus services 155 into town always punctual and again the journey to Funchal had amazing ocean and hilltop views, with winding roads offering a nice sceneric veiws. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend."

"I loved it! I had a sea view and as expected the sunset was amazing from any angle of the hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast served here. The front desk staff were very professional & helpful. The location it's conveniently (15-minutes away from Funchal) if you decide not to rent a car since public transportation is reliable in the area, literally there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel....
