This is my third time staying here. A little noisy as I was right off the common area. I would ask for a room next time further back in the building. But I will be back as it is convenient and comfortable and close to my daughter at UCLA. Thanks :)

Awful! I booked 5 nights and left after 1 night. We ate the free food and drinks in the lobby, it gave both of us food poisoning. The hotel staff on evening checkin were wonderful. The day reception staff were so rude, full of attitude and just horrible. I expect this hotel will be shut down by public health shortly. This hotel isnt like the other palihouse hotels, its a run down cr*p hole with no pool, no elevator, weak showers, tiny gym, no customer service and has filthy run down bathrooms with stained threadbare towels. The in room fridge is so loud we had to unplug it to stop the buzzing sound. The walls are so thin you can here conversations from the room opposite. Claims to be a boutique hotel but really its just giving old, dirty, rundown, hostel vibes with a palihouse name on front of building.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Great room, comfy bed. I stayed in room 103 and the door is right in the lobby, which I thought would be a problem with noise but it was fine unless you want to sleep in late. Breakfast had high quality yogurt, good coffee, and cute little Bonne Maman jam jars. Croissants a bit meh. Love the style and vibe of the hotel and gardens. Very relaxing. The only issue was the valet, who brought the wrong car and legitimately would have let me drive off in it until I insisted it was not mine. The valet tried to say it was my fault he brought the wrong car, then stood around expectantly for a tip when he finally brought my car while continuing to give me attitude. I pointed out I told him twice my room number. The owner of the other car wasn’t happy either to say the least. Zero stars for the valet. 5 stars for everything else.

This is a very sweet hotel, convenient to UCLA where my daughter goes to school and you really don’t need to drive much if you we just staying in that area. Driving in LA is exhausting for me so this is a plus. The location is very walkable. The staff is so lovely and very accommodating and friendly. Very much a European vibe and it is quiet and the small garden is gorgeous to sit and meet up with a friend. It is my new goto when needing a hotel in LA.
