Read the reviews. I didn't realize all the negative reviews until I began to experience an unpleasant stay. Doors slamming, fire alarms randomly going off, unsanitary towels were just the beginning. Two days later, the front desk allowed me to cancel the reservation and contact Expedia. The following day, Expedia called and the front desk declined to cancel the reservation. Expedia tried their best but ultimately the hotel would not cancel the reservation leaving me $800 out. Best offer I got from the hotel was a room change, but that doesn't solve the sanitary issues

This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in and certainly not 4*. Chosen for convenience to Terminal 2 for an early flight it is nowhere near the airport. There is no shuttle bus and the tube ststion advertised nearby doesn't exist. When I eventually arrived late in the evening I was assured at reception there was a regular bus service to the airport outside. In the morning I found out it didn't exist involving another expensive taxi journey. My wake up call failed to happen but fortunately I slept so uncomfortably I was awake anyway. The air conditioning didn't work and the window had been left open presumably to expel smells so the room was freezing. The bathroom was so tiny it was not possible to sit on the loo seat other than at anaekward angle and the shower so small the shower head could not be adjusted to the crntre of the cubicle so you had to bend your head to get any coverage. No minibar and empty fridge did not work and not even a free bottle of water in the room. To cap it all when I showed my Accor loyalty card to credit reward points they told me I would have to email them retrospectively! Nothing was too little trouble for them! Truly awful

The check in was very bad. Only one person. The breakfast tickets a hand broken paper with hand writing The hotel is like an ugly maze The rooms are old and dirty. The room carpet full of strange stains The toilet was not flushing The tab drain was plugged The hair dryer was not working The room had missing or burned lights The tv signal was freezing The room had only two tiny individual beds even when I asked for a 2 person bed and an individual bed The walls to reach the rooms were ugly I WANT A REFUND ! The worst hotel I stayed in 15 years traveling.

There was a lady at the Front Desk that was very helpful.But besides that the location is in a remote dirty area,the rooms are ran down and the “bed” felt like a box spring instead of a mattress. The nicest part of the hotel is the reception area.I would not recommend that hotel to any women solo traveling. I did not feel safe.The male front desk offered the ground floor room.Very disappointing even for just an overnight stay.

Not sure how this location keeps the Mecure brand? The room is like a closet. The bathrooms need a drain on outside of tub since water always spills over and stays there. The hallways and room are tiny. The transport to airport is not convenient must get bolt or uber and its not cheap. .

Its a nice hotel but very noisy could hear everything from the room upstairs and they dont tell you that parking cost £16.00! Staff werent really interested no proper meet and greet at reception and answering your mobile phone while checking a person in is wrong in my opinion

My partner and I like coming to the Mercure for a few of the staff members they have. They provide warm customer normally. However, this trip, while we were staying for a little over 2 weeks, they put us in a room on the 1st floor and we could not control the climate in the room. We had to rely on calling reception to make the room warmer or cooler. As a result, the room was always either too cold or too hot. It was very frustrating. The woman at the desk who did our initial checkin I thought was rather rude. I'm used to customer service not being ad warm as it is in the US, but the initial check in service was really quite terrible. We were on our honeymoon, so this start to the trip really put a damper on things.
