"The Maritim Hotel in Magdeburg is in every way a magnificent hotel. The staff were second to none in their efforts to make their guests feel at home. For example, I had a small technical problem with the TV. A quick explanation from reception and it was fine. They followed up with me shortly after, not by phone to the room. They personally came to my room on the sixth floor. A truely brilliant hotel"

"Only stopped for the one night as just happened to be the midpoint of our journey and was dog friendly. We were greeted by a friendly woman at reception who told us where we could find our room, bar, and breakfast for the next morning and gave us the key cards. I was pleasantly surprised by how the reception area looked and the room was very clean and spacious for 4 people and a dog. The bar was reasonably priced and had a lot of options. The breakfast the best hotel breakfast I've had at a hotel so far. It was a buffet style help yourself breakfast which had everything from fish to sausage to pastries. I'd stay here again on the return journey but unfortunately it is fully booked on the day I require."
