"The apartment was over three floors with steep steps (not good for anyone with mobility issues) in an old building. The place is full of character and worldly charm however it is, by definition really, quite old feeling. The bathroom consisted of an enclosed shower that was tiny (anyone of a larger build simply wouldn't be able to use it so be warned!) but otherwise we had a lovely stay"

"I was excited about this particular booking because it was lake-front accommodation. This was our first time not expecting no receptionist in premise. We arrived at 1730 & check-in time is 1400. My husband text, email, phoned 4-5 times each of the action. The response was 2 hr later at 1900 but the receptionist hunged up or just a bad connection. "Pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Room was large and very clean. We paid extra for a room with a terrace and a view and wished we had just gotten a basic room. The room was on the first floor and traffic noise from the street below made the terrace unpleasant. We also were at the far end and there was very little water view. "We had a wonderful time in Kottli. The houses are charming and well maintained. I did read a review before we went there complaining about the cleanliness of the property, but whoever wrote that probably doesn't live in the countryside. We found it perfectly clean for a rural property and Sanja who looks after the property was very nice and friendly. Great place to stay if you don't want to be in the tourist hot spots! "

"We booked approximately 12 different locations on our trip to Amsterdam and Croatia. They were all very nice except for this one. Everything in it is VERY OLD, the bedding and linens were from the last century. They were all paper thin and smelled. Both of us had bites all over in the morning. Bed bugs??? The wall at the end of the tub leaked resulting in a flood which we had to clean up in the morning. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!"
