"The overall experience I had at this hotel is very positive! I was first given an upgrade to a suite, which the room is very big, clean and comfortable! Their wifi is great and stable too! The breakfast was great with a great variety of selections. Most importantly, the staffs have all been friendly, helpful and very professional addressing my requests. They are also able to help you book customised tour trips around Kathmandu. I will highly recommend this hotel to others!"

"We chose the penthouse, because I felt like a penthouse would be good. It wasn’t. We flew late at night from the US only to learn that the penthouse was on the 5th floor and they didn’t have an elevator. This made it impossible to stop by quickly at the hotel to get a hat or quickly change a shirt. We didn’t stay. We left the same night and went and stayed at their sister property with an elevator. "I initially booked 2 nights but ended up staying for 8. You might find something that looks similar and is a few dollars cheaper but I didn’t even go hunting once I found that Jay Suites had an elevator, powerful AC with a simple on-off controller, a good bed, excellent shower with unlimited hot water, an in-room fridge with 2 free 1 litre bottles of water daily, and a better than average breakfast for about $5. The staff were exceptionally friendly and dealt with one minor plumbing issue...
