"Overview: We are a family of four from India, with two kids (6 years old and 7 months old). Our trip took place in November 2024, and the main reason for staying at this resort was our safari in Yala National Park. We traveled from Nuwara Eliya (Nanu Oya) to Ella by train, which took about 3.5 hours. Then, we drove for about 2.5 hours to reach DoubleTree by Hilton. Apart from ultra-luxury resorts like Wild Coast Tented Lodges and Uga Chena Huts, DoubleTree by Hilton offered a comfortable and luxurious stay. Another Hilton property is located inside Yala National Park but is more expensive. Location: Rating: 10/10 The resort is spacious and quiet, offering a peaceful environment. The surrounding lake is serene, perfect for meditation or relaxation on one of the patios. The swimming pool is large, clean, and includes a bar, though they don’t provide tubes, which would have been ideal for kids. However, there is a separate pool for children. The area is not a city, so it’s recommended to include meals with your stay. The resort also features a club-like area offering hookah, drinks, a big screen, pool, and a karaoke room. This property is very kid-friendly. Being located near the Yala forest, it’s natural to encounter insects, but the housekeeping staff are friendly and quick to help if any are found in the room. "Lovely property literally surrounded by wildlife, beautiful suites, very conveniently located near Yala National Park. Delicious dining options, welcoming staff and service. Would recommend and return again if in Yala Sri Lanka area. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Cinnamon Wild Yala. We did the stargazing with Kasun. We saw the moon and Saturn and enjoyed the view and the discussion with Kasun. Glad we did this activity! We also went on a nature walk with Gayan Gamage on the 16th of october 2024, and it was absolutely amazing. He was super friendly and knew a lot about the nature and the tracking of the animals. It was very interesting, and we saw a lot of the local animals. We hightly recommend this to anyone who likes the nature and animals. Gayan was friendly and easy to talk to and we had a great time! He was also very good at involving the children and our daughter loved him and wanted a picture taken with him after the tour :)"

"I'll start by saying we would definitely stay here again! The property manager was a very friendly and interesting man and very helpful along with the other staff members and the rooms were incredibly spacious with a great view of the ocean! My only recommendations to the owners would be to really play up the view of the rooms and make sure the blinds are up and windows facing the ocean are freshly cleaned. Having chose this hotel over others mainly because of the amazing windows it was a little disappointing to find out that a lot of the blinds no longer worked and couldn't be opened all the way. We were there during slow season so it was very quiet and not all the facilities were open but I can imagine it's a lot of fun when it's more full. We enjoyed the quiet though. The hotel has lots going on as well, atv dune rides, swing bar, infinity pool, and very soon horses for beach and jungle rides! And the proximity to Yala is perfect. They even have a resident elephant that might wander through while you're there! I would definitely recommend this hotel!"

"I’ve done a lot of Safaris and seen a lot of Safari camps, and this camp/glamping setup was one of the best. I mean electricity, hot water, and fan.. what’s not to love. By far, the best meal offered was breakfast as I just felt dinner was a bit too basic. I also felt that they could have outlined the price individual drinks. I mean, I knew how much dinner and breakfast cost, but I was a little in the dark as to the rest of it. However, the Safari was very cool, and even though we just missed seeing a leopard, we did see two Sloth Bears, which I’m told are even harder to see. All and all, Ysla Bih Game was a very nice camp"
