"Location: The property is located centrally. This provides relatively easy driving to the main island sites and the ferry. Not walkable but that is the same for almost everywhere on the island. Staff: Wonderful.and helpful. Room: We had a water view room that had a ground level patio which we took advantage of every eveing. The room is a little dated and could use with updating. "Quirky converted beach shack in sleepy American River. Some beautiful scenery and wildlife along the river. This property presents affordable accommodation in peak season and good base to explore around east and central KI. More suited for 4 as sofa bed requires updating. Unfortunately had a blocked shower drain during our stay otherwise stay at property was comfortable. It was disappointing that the oyster farm shop previously just up the road is now permanently closed. "

"Warm welcome on our early arrival. The accommodation was spacious with everything we needed for a very comfortable 2 night stay. Easy walk to the town centre of Kingscote. Day trips were easy due to its location on the island. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. "
