"We’ll stay here again for sure! Breakfast was expensive, so we chose to not buy it. But it looked good.
The property has been renovated and it’s very nice and so clean! Literally the bed was so perfect! We immediately relaxed and slept amazingly!"

"This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Absolutely beautiful historic building with a grand scale and fully updated modern rooms. The design and comfort is impeccable. Large room and bathroom, but not so large that it isn’t cozy. Perfect in my opinion. The onsite dining options are fantastic for world class breakfast lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. And the coffee is amazing. There were a couple of quirks in the room—the sound of trickling water whenever the ac turned off and an incomprehensible bathroom thermostat—but nothing that would deter me from happily staying here again. "Our family of 6 had a great long weekend here. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and service was amazing. Kids enjoyed the pool and board games in the lobby. Breakfast was great both weekend and weekday."
"This place is amazing. I’ve never stayed in a place quite like this. I got one of the cottage themed rooms and it was amazing. It was extremely comfortable (except for the pillows but it’s rare to get good pillows in a hotel). It was so spacious it felt like the room kept going. The room I booked had a fireplace which helped my wife stay warm even though I was hot and she was cold. The shower had good room and pressure. The woman who checked me in was very friendly and informative. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to Des Moines but if I do I’m staying here no questions ask. In fact I’m going to find out if Stoney Creek has other places. I loved this place. "
