Jewelry District

Get wholesale prices for remarkable gems and precious stones in one of the largest jewelry districts in the United States.

The Jewelry District is a vast collection of stores selling the best of Los Angeles’ spangled diamonds and gems. Here, you’ll find many jewelers displaying and selling large precious stones, with window displays lined with gold and silver metals. Visit the Jewelry District and explore the various markets and boutiques to admire their deluxe jewels.

Check out the eclectic variety of prized stones and speak with the vendors about their various qualities and attributes. Learn how the jewelry business here grew after gold was considered more solid as an investment than U.S. dollars.

Purchase gifts at wholesale prices for your loved ones. You may save more than half price by buying from these retailers and cutting out the middle person.

Make your way to the St. Vincent Jewelry Center and delve into its collection of watches, bracelets and necklaces. The site, which has a row of restaurants, claims to be the world’s largest jewelry center.

Purchase drinks and snacks from iconic Clifton’s Cafeteria, with its restored historic façade. Head to the Los Angeles Diamond Factory, the Arka Designs Fine Jewelry and the Bridal Rings Company, among many other established stores.

Consider the rich history of the district, many of whose buildings date back to the 1920s. Among the most historic edifices here is the State Theatre, formerly known as Loew’s State Theatre. Watch a dramatic performance in its majestic and ornate auditorium. Attend one of the open-air summer concerts in Pershing Square. You’ll also find many bars, cafés and a smoking lounge in this zone.

The Jewelry District makes up the area surrounding Pershing Square in the northwestern corner of the Downtown Los Angeles zone. Travel by metro to the Pershing Square station or ride a bus to one of the nearby stops. Stay in this area to see surrounding neighborhoods such as Little Tokyo, the Fashion District and Skid Row.
