The view and the pool were the highlights. However, it was a great property and stay all around! Unrelated to the actual property, but be mindful of having a 4WD car in Atenas and Costa Rica in general. It will make your life easier.

We had one of our best stays in Costa Rica at Sanlaz. The little bungalows were amazing, well equipped, super clean and comfortable beds. The views to the mountain were stunning, service was great. Can't say enough good things about this place. Will visit again.

Hillside property with beautiful grounds, swimming pool and views of mountains, valleys, and the quaint town of Atenas. Our bungalow was quite nice and comfortable. Our host, Alejandro is wonderful, informative and speaks many different languages. Breakfast is not included but there are many dining options in town.

What a stay!!!

Excellent!!! Love the property. Was so peaceful. The cabin had all the amenities, was super clean. The view spectacular!!! Has a pool as well. It’s gated too, super safe.

This is such a beautiful, peaceful, private, safe property! The home is warm and inviting with all needed ammenities and decorated very nicely! I wish we had more time to chill here. If you need a place- it is about 40 min from the airport! Very highly recommend!

I loved this private property and the owners of the property Lazara & Alex. We rented the deluxe bungalow. It was such a BEAUTIFUL view of the mountains, the pool was so relaxing and it was awesome to enjoy 24hr access to the pool and go night swimming. The construction of the walkway, lights, stairs and the place we stayed was all so elegant and beautiful. The property was very clean, big and spacious. It was also a gated community that we were able to open and close as we needed (which made us feel even safer while we stayed in a foreign country). We felt very relaxed and at peace our entire stay. The bathroom also had an awesome mirror with perfect lighting for doing makeup AND taking great selfies ;). The owners are super friendly, they provided us with the information about the area, common things the locals eat and say and information of a local taxi driver that they trusted and kept us safe. They recommended places to eat, things to do, and helped us with anything we needed, they were phenomenal hosts. During our time it felt like they became our friends and they will be missed!
