Staff not very friendly. No choice for breakfast meal. No restaurant in hotel.
Overall, everything is okay. However, the breakfast could be improved, such as providing bread and jams for those who don't prefer Japanese style food.
Beyond fantastic! I did not spend a lot, but had to rent a car (which was better anyway.) The staff was amazing, even with communication challenges, were the nicest people I've ever met. Helped me constantly, and gave me great tips. The location in front of the beach was great. Breakfast was Japanese style, very adequate. Facilities are gorgeous.

A little weather worn
The hotel seems to have gone through weathering but it is a great location, only a few minutes to the beach.
The staff was really helpful, because my partner was sick during stay in La Teada resort, they gave him some medicine for emergency, then he recovery quickly
Staff was absolutely great. Breakfast was included which was a plus, and it was good too - there was a good balance of Japanese and western food. The hotel is in a serene area outside of town which is wonderful if you're trying to get away and unplug from the craziness of your everyday hustle and bustle. I wasn't sure if it was going to be too far outside of town, but i wanted to spend a lot of time at the beach and La Teada provided a very convenient location to Kabira Bay, Yonehara, etc. The wifi is free and works great in the lobby. It probably works well in most of the rooms too although my room didn't get any signal; I had to step into the hallway to pick up any wifi. However, I didn't come to Ishigaki to play on my phone or computer so it didn't make that big an impact. There was also only one pillow per bed, and the pillows were flat. This is completely a personal preference but I like to have some substance in my pillows as I have a neck problem and I like having multiple pillows. The room itself was amazing. I reserved the junior suite which I was really pleased with. The room itself was huge and spacious, there was a huge balcony, and the bathroom (which was also huge) included both a separate standalone shower and tub...with a view of the ocean from the tub. I was so happy I opted to get the larger junior suite
Overall, I highly recommend La Teada!
we splurged a little at la teada which was a nice change after being at a couple more independent places. The staff spoke basic English which was fine but didn't necessarily offer information up. Not sure if it was a language barrier? For example, the location was pretty remote and we missed the bus from Kabira one night so we walked back which took about 20-30 minutes which was fine. The woman at the front desk had told us previously that the bus stop was 30 min walking distance but I guess she didn't realize we were guests and never offered up that the hotel would shuttle as back And forth to the closest stop. She also seemed surprised that we walked it in the dark (totally safe and fine with a flashlight). Would have appreciated recommendations for things to do.
The breakfast was totally killer and well worth spending time to enjoy it properly. We got at least three side dishes plus a HUGE main dish, then drinks, toast,,soup, rice etc that was self serve. Service was awesome. Would recommend going elsewhere for dinner.
This place was a very nice surprise. I travel around Japan and when I arrived to Ishigaki it surprised me the nice, relax pace of life and how lush nature is. The hotel is nicely secluded, being the view from my balcony a dense mangrove and a beautiful beach with nice sunsets. The hotel offered a wide breakfast selection and a delicious offer in the cafe for dinner. Above all, the. Staff were all most attentive, caring and warm, which made the overall experience memorable.

An adequate holiday experience
I stayed in late August 2015. The hotel was good value for money, but didn't give that holiday feel. My room faced the mangroves which cut a lot of light and with the windows being narrow, furnishings and bedding being dark, the room was fairly dark.
I had no mobile phone signal or Wi-Fi signal in my room, so needed to sit in the public areas to use my phone. The Wi-fi signal then was still weak.
The staff were friendly and very helpful in booking taxis which is useful as there is no entertainment in the hotel or nearby. The beach is a 2 minute walk away and includes an area protected from Jellyfish. To swim though you will need to wake up early or wait until early evening because the tide is out a long way at other times. Yonehara beach is 10 minutes away by taxi. It is more lively, has a small shop, showers, changing rooms and is good for snorkeling, but when the tide is out, it is very shallow with many large rocks around.
The beautiful Kabira bay is 30 minutes away on foot, but the hotel staff will also drive you there.
Good location which is just one minuite walk distance form a very beautiful, not crowded beach. Two sigle bed room was small. It was difficult to find a place to put opened suites case.
It was very lovely. Nicely located, just 1minute to the Sukuji beach which is almost like private for people who stay at the hotel. And its 20minutes walking to the Kabira park. The hotel offers the pick up service between Kabira and the hotel anytime you want . It takes 40 minutes from the downtown to Kabira by bus.
The breakfast buffet was just ok.
Room was very small but clean.

Great Ishigaki base
Good quality for the modest bucks. Helpful and friendly staff. Close to a very decent beach. Restaurant provides good, carefully prepared food. Breakfast buffet is mostly Japanese with some continental elements (toast, jam,etc.). Location good to explore island. To enjoy 2 or 4 wheels are an asset. I would go back there in an instant.

Week in Ishigaki
My family likes to chill at the beach. We don't need to be entertained, we only need a clean room, good food and support on local activities. The hotel restaurants had s good selection of local and traditional Japanese food. The wait staff was excellent and we appreciated their effort to speak English. The room was comfortable and clean. We opted for a third bed to accommodate our teenage boys but in hindsight we could have avoided the extra 10000 yen per night. We enjoyed paddle boarding with locals as well as snorkeling at the blue cave beach through a third party ( google blue cave snorkeling). The only disappointment was the local beach being closed as it wasn't yet beach season. We went in mid July and the temperatures were warm. In fact, the water was 33DegC but the adjacent Sukuji beach wasn't open to swimming. We would walk about a half mile north along the beach to enjoy a private beach. It was still part of the Sukuji beach but it was not part of the typical swim area. Before you go, make sure the beach is open to swimming if your kids are fish like ours.
Friendly staff, good service overall. I would recommend it because it's one of the cheapest real hotels in the neighborhood, and it's a good value.
One downside - there aren't many places to eat at night.
Flew over here from Taiwan when I heard a Typhoon was coming. Turns out the typhoon changed course and headed towards Ishigaki!
In any case, wonderful and friendly hotel staff, good English skills although I had to use Japanese for more complex situations. You can't really go out at night without a car because of the Habu. I recommend at minimum a scooter that can go at least 30kmph.
The hotel is on a beautiful beach. I took one of the most incredible pictures on the beach. Don't fall for the clubbed, you get the same beach at many times the price. The restaurant was also delicious. Stay at La Teada you won't regret it.

Dog intet andet i området. Kræver bil til nærmeste supermarked, restaurant mv i Kabira Bay.
