"I had so much fun in Edinburgh and so did my traveling partners. Food across the street rabo was great we didn't do the Thai place but and the shopping at the history the castle everything I can't wait to go back to Scotland but I think I'll just do Scotland there's so much to see that we missed"

"Plenty of space, and clean facilities. Easy, contactless check-in. Our room was located behind the building which initially was a slight concern for safety. However, we had no problems and found the surrounding area very safe. Staff was very friendly. The only concern we had was with the key. It seemed like our neighbor's key might also unlock our door, as the hallway connecting our rooms used the same key as our room door. "House is situated in quiet suburban side street, only a short walk from main walk from where buses to/from Edinburgh city centre regularly. Details regarding check-in and access to premises and room were provided digitally in advance. Property is well appointed and well maintained. Our room was bright, spacious and clean. Function over fuss reflects the decoration and fittings. Breakfast (continental) was freshly prepared to order and very good."

"Vivienne was very helpful and full of information! The house is lovely and right on the bus line to take you to the major attractions (and hop on hop off busses). It’s even walkable. The room was small, but functional, as advertised. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Edinburgh!"

"This is an unsafe place to stay. Were advised to park our car within range of cctv. The door of our room had recently been broken into as the lock was badly replaced. Dirty linen on the bed . This is being polite . Very unreliable person managing the property. Avoid at all costs"

"We had a brilliant stay at the Cheval! Beautiful building, the apartment was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. Lovely decor throughout. The bed was very comfy, we had a great nights sleep. Staff polite and helpful. Excellent location. Would high recommend! "

"Great stay for visit to the Playhouse. Walking distance from Waverly station, to St James Quarter and Playhouse. Best location for what we we had planned. Floor 0 takes you to Waverly station avoiding all the traffic lights and longer walk to station. Staff lovely, rooms beautiful. "

"Excellent value for location and amenities. About a 10 min walk from Waverley and key sites, nestled between Castle and university yet still quiet at night (I would enthusiastically recommend for families visiting the university). Room was large and had both a bath and a separate shower, as well as a fridge and kettle. Decor was fresh, good quality bedding. Pool and sauna are at larger sister hotel, but gaining access was straightforward. Reception and housekeeping staff at both hotels were absolutely lovely."
