"Staying at Traditional Machiya Hotel Shiomachi-An was the highlight of my trip! The sushi dinner was delicious, some of the best sushi I've ever had. The fish was so fresh and flavours were superb. The rooms were decorated in a beautiful style, full of traditional Japanese decor. It was amazing to stay somewhere special. "The staff was exceptional. They graciously made follow-up phone calls relating to a lost mobile phone and assisted us in locating it. Great location. Adequate accommodations. The major negative was the pungent smell in the room. It smelt like cooked cauliflower, which we mitigated by opening the windows and using air freshener."
