"I traveled with my son on a weekend trip to DC. We made sure we had a king bed since we knew we would be sharing. However, we were quite surprised to find the entire bathroom was made from frosted glass walls. We joked and laughed while respecting each others bathroom privacy. It could definitely be weird and uncomfortable in certain situations if you aren’t away before hand. The staff were all friendly. Only real complaint, we arrived late from our flight and the attendant didn’t mention we had to scan once on the elevator. We rode it a couple of times in our sleepy state before a nice customer joined us on the elevator and saw us struggling and mentioned it 😁. We were good after that! "

"I wanted a hotel with a pool, and with breakfast included. The pool was a good size and temperature, and the hot tub was soothing after a long day of walking. Embassy Suites serves the best hotel breakfasts I have had, with made to order omelets, and a good selection of other items. The coffee is very good. The dining area is in a big, open atrium, which was a little chilly. The location was excellent in that I could get to a Metro Station and a Whole Foods via the underground parking garage. There are restaurants nearby, too. I left my car in the garage for four nights, which cost me $100. I took the Metro in to DC to do my sightseeing. "

"Great overall place for the price. Rooms are fairly small but still bigger and more comfortable than a hostel or capsule hotel. All room controls are done via iPad which makes it very easy to use. Staff are friendly and always greet you as you go in and out. There's also a security guard so it was very safe. It's also located right next to the NoMa-Gallaudet U station so it's easy to get from one place to another. Being located right next to Union Market and shopping (walking distance) is a huge plus as well. Was also very quiet and clean. Few minor gripes: -The floor in my room was creaking a fair bit and the toilet stopped working once (though that was fixed very promptly) -The iPad controls feel a bit wonky, and also means not all the physical buttons in the room (light controls on the wall, etc.) do not work perfectly. For example, you cannot turn on the wall lights while keeping the main light off and there's a limit on how bright or dim you can make things. -The shower is fairly small due to the curved glass. If you're a bit on the tall side like me it will make taking a shower is a bit uncomfortable. -Also be warned: the beds here are ALOT firmer than what you would expect in a normal hotel. First night was really rough when it came to sleep. For me, only the very firm bed was a big issue, otherwise I'd say CitizenM is a great brand and place to stay. Will definitely try to book this place when I come again. "

"Parking is easy as long as there aren't many cars. But the space in the parking lot is pretty small for inexperienced drivers. "
