Hotels with Spa in Hida, Gifu Prefecture

"Easily the best place I stayed in whilst in Japan. It’s a ryokan and yet it has full 5 star hotel features. I chose a room with a private outdoor Onsen bath and kaiseki dinner option. Room was huge (75sq/m) with a separate bedroom, living room and sitting area with a wood burner. I started the fire and sat there for hours in between my private lovely hot onsen. "We stayed for 2 nights. It's a great spot near the train station. The beds were comfy and rooms felt very private. Loved the

amenities and breakfast. While they do not service the rooms every day, they left is a goodie bag of fresh towels and toiletries which we very much appreciated. The only down side was that there was some mold in the shower and near the vent. "
