Het Gooi hotel rooms a the Independent

"Can’t fault the hotel itself, stunning and felt very safe. Very close to Zaandam train station (3 min walk) and easy to get to central Amsterdam. Slight issues such as other guests were smoking right outside the doors and you would have to walk through it almost every time you left the building. Also paid for late checkout but the cleaner didn’t seem to know this and had to try and explain. Overall, would return and great value for money as we paid under £300 for 4 nights"

"The property is beautiful, the staff very friendly and it's only 3 blocks from the train station, but it was noisy at night because the guests of the hotel drink right outside the door and the rooms that face that side of the street are right above all the noise. We told the hotel about it but the noise persevered. They did give us a free dinner for the trouble which we appreciated. "

"The staff were superb friendly and helpful explaining where everything was in the city and how to get around. The room was modern and spacious and had everything you needed. We added breakfast to which had a decent selection. Love our stay "

"Everything was great – the location, the size of the room, the cleanliness, and the service. The area was quiet and peaceful, which I really appreciated. I was driving, and while there’s parking available nearby, I found street parking more convenient. It’s the same price, and parking is free on Sundays."
