I booked this hotel mainly for the sauna amenities. Unfortunately, my flight was delayed and the complimentary shuttled arrived late-- both due to weather conditions, so I wasn't sure if I would be able to use the sauna. Fortunately, I managed to squeeze in the last 30 minutes (sauna/pool area closes at 10pm) and I didn't have anyone lurking by to remind me of the closing. It's really top notch and worth spending at least an hour or so. Pros/Loves: In addition to the sauna/spa, I enjoyed the chemical free, high quality toiletries, strong shower head and most of all, the ladies pillow/comfortable bed. Customer service was great too. Needs improvement: The top cover of the bed sheet seemed like there was a stain, carpet flooring seemed somewhat dirty and the water didn't drain while taking a shower. Phone from the room didn't seem to work.

The hotel is clean with good facilities. There are not many options to get to the hotel other than thr shuttle. Taxi from the airport is very expensive.

Great stay at a lovely hotel staff were all really friendly , the shuttle service was good but a couple of times it was full so we had to get our own bus to schipol On the whole great value for money

The airport shuttle service was very poor. We arrived at the stand more than 5 minutes before it was due to leave, but it did not arrive. I called the hotel reception six times over the next 30 minutes, but they did not respond. When the.bus did finally arrive 35 minutes later it was not big enough - other hotels had large buses, but the Steigenberger had a mini bus, even though it is one of the biggest hotels. Some passengers had to stand in the mini bus, which was illegal and unsafe. The driver did not get out to open the luggage compartment, which meant that our luggage had to be carried on our knees. This very poor experience was unfortunate, because the actual rooms were very good.

in a business area near airport, so it is generally quiet. It is about 25mn drive from Amsterdam city center. Room is clean. I liked the free access to pool and spa area with sauna and hammam which are great to enjoy the stay
