"We have stayed here before, so I already kind of knew what to expect. You don’t get all the bills and whistles that you would with a large chain company But it’s a nice clean home like feeling. No early check-in options so make sure that you’re aware of the time. Most rooms have a fireplace and a balcony and a pretty nice view. Would definitely stay here again."

"After I booked with Hotels.com I did a deeper dive into reviews and when I came across several negative reviews I seriously considered canceling my reservation. I’m happy I didn’t. The property itself is and older building that’s been remodeled with lots of modern updates/ touches. Our double room was very clean, extremely spacious with comfy beds, its own patio , fireplace, free covered parking, and other amenities (mini frig , microwave and complimentary continental breakfast). There are lots of little outdoor lounging areas throughout the property to enjoy on nice days/ nights. The location is perfect with easy freeway access, close proximity to other hotels, eateries, Mall, Whole Foods and everything that Monterey has to offer.Jennifer and the rest of the Mariposa Inn & Suites staff were friendly & accommodating. I’d definitely make future bookings with Hotels.com for Mariposa Inn & Suites. "

"I’m so glad I chose this hotel for my solo getaway!!! Josh kindly greeted me at the front counter and got me a room with such a wonderful city and ocean view. I booked the king room with the fireplace. The bed was so comfortable. I love the fact the tub and shower are separate; I love a good bubble bath. The only downer was there wasn’t a fridge or microwave. However, they have a fridge but it’s basically a minibar stocked with alcohol and soda. The pool and hot tub weren’t lit up like I’ve seen in other pictures but it still was nice. I got one drink from the bar downstairs, Continental Drift, it was good. Everything is near by so no need to really drive anywhere. The aquarium is just a few feet away. Valet/Self Parking $45 a night plus tax though. Costly but I felt catered to, especially while being on a solo get away. While staying here, I checked out Point Lobos. Great trails for hiking! Definitely will be staying here again and will actually try the C restaurant to check out the food!!"

"We found the room clean, the bed very comfortable, the in-room fridge and breakfast included convenient, the fireplace nice for warmth and atmosphere and the grounds well maintained with beautiful flowers in hanging baskets, balcony flower boxes and potted topiaries. We felt comfortable and safe in the hotel location and enjoyed it’s close proximity to restaurants, art galleries, shopping, a small local market next door and walking distance to the beach for us who enjoy long walks for exercise. The only negative is that the walls are thin enough to hear a guest showering and sometimes toilet flushing in room next door or above. Fortunately, the rooms on either side of us were empty most of the time during our three-night stay."
