"I stayed here for 2 nights and the staff was really friendly. The check in process was easy, note that the check in times on hotels.com are not correct and you can check in later. I'd contact the hotel to confirm. They spoke multiple languages at the hotel, which was helpful and were very nice. The restaurant was really good for dinner and reasonably priced. "Check-in was super fast, receptionist very nice and friendly with great English. The room was spacious enough and very tidy. Room safe a pleasure, free parking was a big plus for us. The area around the hotel and the whole town is quiet and safe. The better price, proximity to the train station and the 20 minute train ride to Strasbourg make staying here more economical and hassle free than staying in a big city."

"Lovely hotel. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I felt a little put out at our treatment or lack of in the hotel restaurant. We were the only brits in a room full of Germans and French. Every single other table were brought a basket of bread whilst waiting for their food and given a free dessert at the end of their meal, even if they’d already had a dessert like we had. It unfortunately marred my stay a little. "

"I had a good stay in this clean and comfortable hotel. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfy and the finishes were new. There were a few minor items that could be improved though. The balcony door didn’t lock which wasn’t an issue for me but might be for others. The drapes only had black outs and not a set of sheers. Again - no problem for me but could impact someone else. "The room was really nice, however, the only concern I had was about the shower. The glass door is only half way. Everytime after a shower, the washroom will be filled will water as the water spilt out during shower. The floor would get really wet and dangerous."

"The staff at City Residence Strasbourg was very welcoming and helpful during my stay. Room was clean and spacious and glad that it had a kitchenette. Location was within a 10-minute walk to the train station and five minutes to Place des Halles for all my grocery needs. Thank you again."
