"beautiful resort. the onsen is one of a kind and breath taking. it’s worth the trip just for the onsen honestly. the free shuttle is super convenient if you plan on skiing hakuba 47 (maybe other resorts too but i just did 47). would definitely stay here over a more expensive resort. only thing is the beds aren’t super comfortable but they aren’t the worst either. hence the 4 instead of 5. "

"I can not more highly recommend Shirouma So! The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel was very comfortable and perfectly situated near the bus terminal, Happo One, and restaurants. The onsen was the perfect way to finish a day on the slopes. The food was excellent and there was plenty of variety - while breakfast is set, it is different every day. I would definitely stay here again!"

"Very close to the side lift which made it very convenient. Still close enough to the main lift for purchasing ski passes and where the rentals are. Facilities are old but not bad. Onsen was clean but the outdoor area is a bit small (if there are more than 3 people). Parking is tight but available if you can get your car up the small hill and the counter can help you reserve a taxi which is super helpful. The receptionists all had good English too. "

The main disappointing aspect was the rooms, they were really run down and out of date, they were tired, not very clean and for the money not good value. We were very unahappy with the rooms. "
