"The property is beautiful and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the offer of tequila upon check-in. The only downside at check-in was that our room was on the fourth floor with no elevator, and lugging our luggage up the stairs after a long day of travel was not fun. The woman who showed us to our room offered to help, but I wasn't going to ask HER to lug my luggage... "In it's glory days I'm sure this was a terrific property. Sadly, it has deteriorated over the years and maintenance of the outdoor areas seems to have lapsed. The placita we were in was fairly new and updated. It was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu offered at the restaurant was quite limited, but again staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful."

"We really enjoyed our stay at 1850 Hotel Boutique. Everything we needed was walking distance and the staff were very friendly. Room was a little smaller than expected but we spent most of the time exploring the city so it didn’t really matter. Housekeeping came in every day to clean which was nice. Guanajuato is a beautiful place to visit and this hotel made the experience more worth it"

"Casa Mellado was an excellent find. The staff greeted & treated us as if we were family!! The service is fabulous. The food is delicious. You have to eat on the patio to enjoy the scenic view! Roads to the property are narrow but the hotel offers shuttle to and from the historic downtown area. Breathtaking views, quiet neighborhood, room was spacious and beautifully decorated Mexican rustic motif. Pictures do not do the hotel & property any justice.
