"Nice hotel, and the check in staff were excellent. Was told we got a free room upgrade, that I was entitled to with my gold Expedia status. The room we got was nothing special, in fact it was smaller than the room we had last year, without the so called free upgrade. There was also a smell in the room. "Good clean, well presented hotel. Reception & bar area very well kept. Room good, nice big comfortable bed. Gym is well equipped for a small hotel gym."

"I would very rarely rate hotels 10 out of 10 but this was so close that I couldn't not give it full marks. The room was brilliant and the mattress and pillows in particular were the best I've had in ages. Breakfast was also good and the pub was an amazing bonus to have underneath. By the time I went to bed the pub was really quiet so I had no noise issues."

"Clean, well decorated and the staff were lovely, only issue we had is that the room got way too warm and even with the air con on 17°c it was still blasting out warm air. I do also think upgrading the keys would be good, having the tap ones rather than having to insert them. The contactless ones seem to work a bit more consistently and they’re more accessible to those with mobility issues. "
