"I was looking for an inexpensive, no frills, clean room in a safe neighborhood. That's exactly what I got. Everything was clean and well maintained, although interior hallway lighting was a bit dim. The staff was very friendly. This is a neighborhood of motels with a selection of take out and eat in restaurants within a block of the motel. The north side of the building is amazingly quiet in the evening considering how close it is to a street. I don't know about the side of the building...

"Stayed to drop my daughter off at school. The staff was very kind and responsive. We were in a bit of a hurry,, and i neglected to put on my jewelry. I had left it on a ledge. They found my rings, and immediately called me to tell me so. We weren't even out of the Ames area yet so it was easy to head back to get them. I've always liked this hotel but this has solidified my loyalty! "

"Breakfast was not as good as what we get in other hotels. The hockey puck eggs were not good and we saw something that might have been sausage, but didn’t try it. Could have just been a bad day for someone. The elevator didn’t work (and had a sign), but it would travel to the floor, preventing the working elevator from coming up. That was frustrating. The place wasn’t full, but they put us next to an occupied room. So instead of a really quiet night, we got to enjoy someone else coming...
