"We loved staying at this hotel. In case you don't know, this used to be a house for a famous Egyptian singer (Om Kolthoom) from the 60s and got converted into a hotel. So, the whole hotel is themed around this singer (photos, decor, signage on doors, etc.). I loved that because I love this singer. "We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights, on check in we were given 2 large single beds despite our booking being for a Double Bed and Double Sofa Bed. I’d like to think this was a mistake but it also happened on check in at the Novotel Cairo Airport. The issue was fixed when we went back to reception and showed them our booking confirmation.
