"The hotel is about a 5 min walk from the transport services. We got the 42 from the airport to Sandnes bus station and the hotel is visible from there. The train to Stavanger is also in the bus area too so this made going out for the day really easy to navigate. We were on the top floor with some good landscape views. Breakfast was nice enough and plenty of bits to choose from "

"After a late arrival we found the check in to be very quick and efficient. A peaceful nights sleep was had, followed by a really nice buffet breakfast. I’m not sure if this was a standard breakfast for all Scandic hotels, but if it is I won’t be staying anywhere else in future. 10/10. "

"well maintained farm house feel that provided a great place to launch for Preikestolen and Kjerag. Breakfast was great and the room and bathroom were larger than expected. Don't forget they have heated floors-the previous peolpe left it on and really heated up the room."

"Eilert Smith Hotel exceeded our expectations!!! This is a Luxury Boutique Hotel. They treat you like royalty right when you walk in the door. I would definitely stay there again in Stavanger. It was the best of all places we stayed in Norway. It didn’t have the most amenities or even the best views but it made up for it in service and quality of the room and everything in the room. "My wife and I stayed at the Bryne Hotell after a Burns Supper organized and hosted by the hotel. A very enjoyable event accompanied by traditional music (a visiting Scottish band), bagpipes, whisky, haggis and poetry. A great local band Ållveltes also played later in the evening which made for a fun night. Hope to do it again next year. "We enjoyed our stay, and the very central location, with several restaurants, a new Irish pub, and the Christmas market metres away. Staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The "julefrokost"was plentiful with a wide array of traditional Norwegian Christmas dishes. Our only complaint is that the food was on the cold side for our tastes, even when we showed up at opening time. We used the exercise room, and also enjoyed the second-floor lounge. "

"Everything was great! My only complaint was checkout was for 11am and I actually had housekeeping enter my room at 9am on their own without me opening the door, which I felt odd bc what if we were indecent? Other than that the actual place was great. "

"Property, staff and comnplimentary breakfast served every morning was excellent! Right next to the rink but the walk way between the two buildings was closed making it necessary to walk in the rain to get to the arena doors. Also, there is no complementary customer parking. You must pay to park in a City run underground parkade also a block away."

Would be good if it was staffed.

"Very much unstaffed at weekends and evenings. We had an administrative problem while checking in (we were told the wrong key safe), which whilst fixed was only an issue because the hotel is not staffed. We also only recieved a single pillow and duvet for two of us, but didn't try and resolve it as there wer no staff to talk to and we'd already had to ring once to check in. It was clean and well located for the port. Parking was good, and the bus route goes past, but does not stop outside. "
