The food was delicious but if you are a traveler with food allergies i would recommend confirming with the staff before and during your stay. They will accommodate your needs, however, we had to remind the staff of my partners food allergies a few times as the menu did not initially follow the food restrictions. "A true traditional ryokan experience. The feel and service of all the amentities was superb. We were worried about the food as it was very unique. However all of it exceeded expectations. All the food was worth trying and had such an earthy feel to it. The service of the staff members were impeccable. Very kind and helpful. The place is little far to get to. So recommend calling ahead for shuttle service from the ryokan. Highly recommended."
