"Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable lodging in a central location. Small water bottle in room at arrival would have been nice, but local mints in bathroom and Christmas chocolate on pillow were very thoughtful. Would also have liked to see homemade jam instead of high glucose factory stuff as an extra touch at breakfast. Blackout curtains worked and bathroom was modern and spacious. "I chose this hotel due to its idyllic look & since I was traveling with 4 colleagues, they all booked here too. On arrival, found out you don’t stay in the schloss, rather a very unattractive side building, freezing cold, tiny room. The restaurant was closed, another reason I had chosen this hotel was because it had a restaurant, nobody told us it would be closed. Very poor. Der Hotelbetreiber ist schon mit den örtlichen Behörden im Kontakt, um das zu lösen. Die Ursache liegt nicht am Hotel selbst, sondern wurde durch Dritte verursacht, die gegenüber wohnen. "Hotel provided a pass for the tram into the downtown for our entire stay. This was great and made getting around very convenient. It was, I think, one stop to the train station and another stop to the downtown. Rooms clean, comfortable and larger than tropical European hotel rooms. Breakfast was good."

"The property is in an excellent location for walking to the centre of town. It has its own paid parking which makes it easy for people with cars. The hotel is clean and has very nice staff. They have a nice restaurant and bar on site. Breakfast options are very nice too. Would definitely visit again. "

"Tolles Zimmer in einem alten Haus. Sehr ruhig, man hört nur das Plätschern des Flusses. 1 Minute zu Fuß zum Domplatz. Frühstück sehr liebevoll zubereitet. Es gibt nur 3 Zimmer. Sehr familiär. Das einzige, was etwas besser sein könnte, ist das WLAN. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Sackpfeifenmühle und kommen gerne wieder."

Generally excellent, but.....

"The hotel was located in an area with good transport links. I found occasionally it was difficult in my chair with static electricity. I would suggest maybe a couple of handrails in the bathroom to make it a little more accessible, and a bath with a shower is not helpful for someone who has to use a Powerchair. It's also a bit tricky to leave the room in your chair at times. There was much to enjoy about the room, but it could have been tailored a little more towards my needs. I had written to the hotel about a couple of issues, butdid not get replies. The restaurant staff were always kind and helpful. The wifi was occasionally a bit hit or miss. "

"Having multi lingual staff was massively useful for those have us who are less skilled. The only thing I would ask them to add would be a doorbell. Trying to check-in after midnight (ICE train delays!) needed a friendly other customer to let me in to check-in. Not a huge issue at all, but would have been nice is all."
