"We were bummed some of the areas were closed and the pool heater wasn' working. It wasnt clear how trash and housekeeping worked and had to figure it out and ask as we went rather than explain up front. "

"This is a property with many apartment buildings in a nice area of good view. I like the deck on the lake side and I can sit on the water side to relax. However, the buildings look old maybe due to too many floodings from Hurricanes. My studio had a good kitchen, but I only stayed one night with no chance to use it. I did not take a shower as no water came out. "

"The stay at the hotel was good. Issue was if you didn’t purchase their chair and umbrella then you were forced to sit at the end where the beach area is not kept nice. You’re spending the same money as everyone else to stay at resort. Should have the same right to sit where you want on the beach. "

"Very lovely (and large!) accommodation. Extremely clean. Front desk staff kind of rude/pretentious.Great location right on the beach at Siesta Key. Heated pool with good poolside bar. Also had a hot tub, which was nice as the weather was a bit cool when we were there. Feel like I was misled a bit based on room description--thought we were booking a room with beach view, but instead got "city view"--which essentially looked into a back alley and at a 7-eleven. "Recovering from a hurricane. So the front lobby doesn’t exist and the elevators were not working. And we were on the 4th floor. However the place was lovely and very comfortable. Very loud thumping music next door at 1am and no front desk to help out. Individual other guests were just ignored by the occupants"

"While still under construction due to the hurricane damage, the resort staff did everything they could for us to help us enjoy our stay. The newly renovated rooms are beautiful and well appointed. It was everything you look forward to when staying at a place like the Don Cesar. "

"The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff really friendly. They bent over backwards when it came to using their grills. The set me up with utensils, started it (gas), shut it down when I was finished, and even cleaned the utensils. The only annoyance was the weak water pressure in the shower and bathroom sink. I’d definitely stay there again."

"I like the property being near to River walk and it's a safe location. It's close to 275 and near by attraction on Downtown. The property is well maintained and clean. The shuttle service within 2 miles is a good service. This property serves, breakfast, lunch and dinner with Bar. What I would like to see improving is the room getting updated, being in downtown the room is looking very dated with old model furnitures. "Staff were very helpful and attentive, house keeping was on top of keeping us with fresh linens and towels daily. Absolutely loved our whole stay. Especially nice to have the 2 pools and easy direct access to the beach. The view from our room of the beach was awesome also. Really nice to wake up to in the morning. "
