"Great location. I love the onsite evening restaurant/bar. They just redid the interior of the restaurant. The food is good but a little inconsistent. I had the "chef special" mushroom and blue cheese soup twice in 3 days and the first time it was amazing while the second time it was flat with odd additions (I think it was daikon - a flavourless and odd texture in a creamy mushroom soup). Overall, a cozy place worth a visit."

"After a LONG trip, we dragged into the lobby and Inga was amazing. She upgraded our room (to Accessible - we're old and must have looked awful) with a view over the harbor to Bryggen. The room was quiet, spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very good quality with relaxed seating. Central location made extensive walks around the city very comfortable. Happily booked another two nights to recover after our 12-day Hurtigruten voyage."

"Fabulous hotel with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. We were looked after by Helena, who was very friendly and helpful, a real credit to the hotel. We would recommend staying here if you are on a Hurtigruten trip as it is very close to the terminal, walking distance with a case, and the rooms are reasonably priced. "

"Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Giselda front of house in the Breakfast restaurant was so welcoming it made me feel at home it was amazing how she remembered my name, prety impressive with the number of residents staying there in the hotel. Gave me a lovely send off .Frederick at the bar was professional, hard working and knowledgeable. The Breakfast was amazing with the choice , quality considering how many residents they had staying. All in all I didn't say goodbye, just until we meet again. "
