"We wanted a nice relaxing and chilled weekend. The hotel, room except for the shower and hairdryer, food and the staff were awesome. However we couldn’t use the pool as it was freezing cold. The pool was one of the reasons we picked this hotel. "

"The best thing about this property is by far the hosts. They are extremely accommodating, always happy to help and provide advice or recommendations on the local area. They also produce some fantastic food, with a daily cooked breakfast (I strongly recommend the baked eggs with chorizo) as well as all you can eat toast with an array of delicious homemade jams and preserves."

"Very good stay in a comfortable hotel. Service was great. Couple of things - I felt the dinner menu could be a little more extensive, the check out time of 10 am is a little early. But generally a great stay. Ps I should have mentioned this at check out but the sink plug in room 102 sticks closed 😎"

"The person that met me seemed very disinterested. The room they gave me didn't match the pictures on Hotels.com. It was tiny, I wouldn't have booked it if the pictures had shown the correct room. The shower didn't work. The person seemed unconcerned, just said a guest had broken it and there was a bathroom down the hall. The bathroom down the hall looked like someone's personal bathroom, with toothbrushes, lots of personal toiletries etc. The person didn't offer an alternative room, even though...

"Late booking on a Bank Holiday weekend. Quiet, relaxing beautiful period Villa guest house / small hotel. Lovely rooms, spacious and clean. "Nothing is too much trouble" vibe from owners. Friendly and informative chats Walkable to marina, town, restaurants etc all be it with Torbays plentiful hills. Lovely."

"Absolutely lovely place. Rooms were great.Beautiful surroundings.Only down side was that we arrived at 1pm, check in was 3pm.Had planned to go to The White Hart Inn, for lunch and drinks,only to arrive there and be told, due to winter staffing, they were not opening until 5pm. I suggested that maybe having a sign on the road advertising that they were open from 8am, should be removed/ amended."
