"Location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk from the station and chair lift. Kitchen staff is very thoughtful. I stayed for 3 nights, although all 3 nights were hot pot for dinner with the same ingredients, the soup base was different for every night. Staff are super friendly, making you feel welcome. The only issue I had was on the first night when there kids staying and they ran around the whole lodge making all sort of noise until late."

"This is an exceptional ryokan. Only three rooms but very large rooms with a sunroom with "western style" chairs for those of us who aren't as limber as we used to be. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Quiet location with excellent views of the mountains. The food here is sensational and comes with English explanations of the dishes.
