"We rarely stay in pubs (particularly not on a Saturday night). This venue was exceptional, had clearly been refurbished recently (smell of fresh paint). Good to see locals in the bar, who welcomed us ahead of hotel staff. Room was clean and well appointed. We ate in restaurant in evening - food and service were both excellent (although portion size was HUGE !!!). Breakfast good in morning."

"We stayed here for my husbands birthday weekend Joss welcomed us like family. The room and serivce was amazing We was made to feel so welcome. Joss had a card sent to our room for jons birthday Which was a lovely touch. The area is stunning and so quiet. The bed omg the bed was so comfortable If we didnt have to be up early for longleat we would of slept in all day lol. Jon and i stayed in room 2 the beech tree room It was cosy and so quite. "10 out of 10 for ALL the things: fastidious service, friendly staff, super cool-vibe, gorgeous rooms, best breakfast! You’ll never see a more intricately themed B&B…you get transported to another place and time of magic and pagan wildness! And I can’t leave out how fun it was to meet new interesting people every morning seated at the (most incredible) dining table. Thanks to Tony, Freya, Donna, Adele for your amazing service! "

"Just a one night stay while we were in town for a show. Very freindly welcome, lovley room with a very comfortable bed and an outstanding English breakfast. Just a couple of minutes walk into town. Would highly recommend. "

"Lovely accommodation including spacious bedroom with en suite bathroom. Shared kitchen which is useful. More than ample parking which is free. In great proximity for Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar, Longleat etc, 5 min drive to nearest pub restaurant. Friendly owners. Recommended."

"Amazing historic building oozing character and charm. Patricia is warm and genuine host. Nothing is too much trouble. It was a pleasure to stay there and would certainly recommend it."

"It was chosen primarily because it was closest to family we were visiting for a few days, but also the photos of the accommodation looked fun and location beautiful. We stayed in Shawn, at the very top of a very steep hill, for us townies was the difficult part lol Shawn was very comfortable, small kitchen area, toilet and shower and lovely small decking area with bbq and views! Although we didn’t meet any staff communication was very clear via emails and website. Thoroughly recommend 👍 "
