"By the looks of the hotel online it’s very elegant. But it’s much dirtier, smells like cigarettes, and room is tiny. A lot of noise outside due to poor insulation. The restaurant was good though with good prices. I guess you get what you pay for. It worked ok for me but I wouldn’t stay here again."

"Truly exceptional property in the town center. Our room overlooking the fountain was spacious and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good. Staff were gracious and made us welcome. We are far from athletes but managed stairs to first floor with no trouble."

"Our favorite stay on our 11 day Budapest, Slovakia and krakow vacation! Property helped us to find milk for our babies when all stores were closed. The room had gorgeous views as did the property. There was cute little playground and space to kick a soccer ball for our boys. We wished we could stay longer!! "

"Unfortunately the stay was way worse than expected. Of course, no one expects the decorative pillows to be super clean, but white stains?! Waiters, lady at the bar and a receptionist expecting a baby are super friendly. Rest of the personnel were not really glad to visitors. The toilet seat was not even assembled properly and it was detached from the floor. The soap dispenser had hair of a person who shaved there ages before. Bar furniture has holes all over. It's a pity to spend hours driving...

"This review would be different if the weather would have been hot. There is no air conditioning but only a fan. Otherwise it is a nice unique hotel with interesting decor. The receptionist was nice but there is some room for improvement of English skills. The location of the hotel is great with nice views of the main street. While there is traffic noise during the day, it gets quiet at night. "

"Amalia Apartment was very spacious and comfortable - once we found it. The address given is misleading and the street number defies logic. Please change the address on the website. "The hotel rate was fairly high for out of season and we were disappointed by a few things. The bed was very uncomfortable- like a piece of wood. The hotel advertises a pool and sauna, but it is open for only two hours a day and we had to request they let us in and turn it on. The restaurant, although it has friendly staff, does not serve good food and the ambiance is terrible."

"My 18-year old niece and I loved our stay in the Royal Apartment when visiting the charming town of Banská Štiavnica. The apartment is enormous, beautiful and comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It was obvious that they wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, including a wonderful breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Slovakia."
