"Stayed for one night as a half-way stop back to Calais. Great central location near to bars/restaurants with free secure parking, very comfortable bed, warm with own radiator control, clean refurbished shower/bathroom. For what we wanted it was beyond expectations for the price paid. "

"First of all had to call key card was failty would not worked had to call out about 22.30 and when attended we were made to feel like a nuisance and still not working in the morning. Breakfast at 8.30 a.m foods has not been replenished, we constantly have to asked for things even a clean tea cup + cutlery. The person who seams to be in charge was very unfriendly. Lastly having stay in previous Premiere classes hotel this one was very disappointing."

"Welcome to Les Tours de Fawlty. The chalets are not uncomfortable but basic and thin-walled. Beds are decent, pillows brick-like. The tour de force, however, happens in the restaurant. Having read decent reviews, we were rather looking forward to some simple but good French food. Worth mentioning at this stage that I lived in France for 14 years and speak French. "We can fully recommend Charnay Plaisance! The main house is beautiful (some renovation work is ongoing but is unobtrusive); our room was very comfortable; breakfast was very good; the swimming pool was fantastic and the welcome we received (from reception staff and from the owner and his wife) was very warm and friendly. "The Hotel was a welcome overnight stay after a gruelling drive but the absolute cream on the cake was the evening meal at the restaurant. Has to be included in my top ten meals ever, not just art on a plate but what an eating experience. It would be worth driving for hours on end just to eat their again."
