"Staff was sweet.They were always helpful and professional. The only thing I didn't like was the parking spaces. Because this is also a bar &restaurant the parking spots sometimes full. We had a rental car and we didn't want to park it anywhere else but the hotel. Other then that I enjoyed my stay. Thank you so much."

"The Matafouna Lodge is amazing. The location is beautiful. The fales were comfortable with a porch, comfortable bed, and glass windows. The shower facility was convenient and very nice with ceramic tiles and privacy (and most importantly, hot water). The staff were friendly. The food was very good (the seafood pizza was delicious). "This was a last minute booking made when our preferred booking was cancelled, after being confirmed more than three months earlier, apparently due to overbooking??? On arrival, the toilet was broken and dirty. The room wasn't secure as a window locking mechanism was broken. And, for most of our stay the internet wasn't available. "Everyone that works there is amazing! It is very clean and i never saw a bug, which is big for me. There is no separation from the shower and toilet but it works. The shower water wasn’t hot but warm felt good. It’s not fancy but we didn’t come for that. We came to explore the island and fell in love with the people. If you are expecting a Hilton, this isn’t for you. We enjoyed our stay immensely. "
