"We had an idyllic stay here. The property itself is classic and elegant. 100% old world charm! We had lake-view suites which were simply marvelous. They were large, graciously-furnished and very comfortable. The lake views were breathtaking. My father sat on his balcony watching the lake and listening to classical music every morning in bliss. The facilities are terrific. Breakfast offerings were plentiful, tasty, and diverse. I'm gluten-free and had no problem finding tons to eat even before they brought me GF bread!. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but it looked very good. My sister enjoyed swimming and enjoying the sun from below an umbrella at the hotel's private beach. I loved the spa, alternating between the saunas and the thermal pool. The water was cool but comfortable once you adjusted. And all the minerals -- I felt 10 years younger. We rowed out to the island and visited the castle, of course. Lovely! But the hotel's own amenities should also be a draw. Finally, the hotel staff are the best! Marion especially feels like a forever friend. But everyone was so friendly and answered our questions with great patience and excellent ideas. When we had an unexpected change, they were understanding and accommodating. From directing us to local GF bakeries to advising where to buy Slovenian wine to the easy valet parking and the thoughtfulness of waiter who served our welcome drink, the staff made an already superb experience even better. I can't wait to return! "

"Nice hotel, you can’t get any closer to lake bled than this hotel so the location is great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice enough although it would be nice if there was a bin in the room, we only had a small one in the bathroom and also if you could access streaming services on the TV. We only ate breakfast at the hotel but it was good and had a decent selection. The pool on the roof has an amazing view over lake bled and it’s nice to use although we didn’t realise the saunas would be an extra cost until we arrived."

"Excellent location, 3min walk from the river with lots of places to eat and drink. The map on here is wrong - it’s only 1.5 blocks from the river. Very clean, nice staff. Bed was extremely comfortable and room was super quiet. We had a castle view with balcony. Couldn’t fault the room at all. Service was good. Breakfast was decent although sometimes the hot food was barely warm. Would happily stay again. Let them organise a transfer to/from the airport (50€) or book a shuttle - absolutely do not get a taxi outside the airport terminal, there is a huge problem with fake taxis in the city. We followed all the advice, took one that was marked from the correct place and which had a meter… and it still cost 72€ as the meter was dodgy and they applied a 12€ “dodanek” extra. Just let the hotel sort out the transfer or pay for one separately, do not get a taxi from the rank "
