"The room is good but the bathroom is really basic and would benefit from an upgrade. It is a quiet beach and place but it is a good walk, uphill from the main street. Not much shadow so can be chalenging in a hot day. But the view for the breakfast was amazing. And so many choices, fruit, bread and pastry, eggs or omelet on demand, several curry and asian breakfast. A lot of stairs to get to the beach too but amazin place to chill. Not a great spot for snorkeling. If its your thing, go on the beach right in front of idilyc concept resort. Best spot on the iland. "

"Absolutely loved this place. However, I missed not having any sun loungers on the beach to relax. The stairs were quite hard work to walk up as our room was right at the top. But the staff and the view was still worth it. We especially loved having breakfast brought to our room in the mornings."

"The water in the small private beach is calm and the sand on the beach and in the water there softer than other areas on the island, lots of fish close to the shore, even some shade over part of the beach and water in the afternoon. The ocean views from the cabin are amazing - you can see the ocean from bed. The staircases to the cabins are so clean and smooth, when it’s not too hot, you can go barefoot. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The back entrance gives quick access to the walking streets that have food, restaurants, souvenirs, tour operators and 7-11. Koh Lipe is a small island - anyone going to it should have the mobility to get in and out of a speedboat & longboat easily, & navigate many stairs and uneven surfaces. "

"We have just stayed at Mail Sunrise. We had a Balinese suite which was on the top floor of a small 2 storey block. I was under the impression we were getting a stand alone bungalow but once we entered the room I was happy! It was beautiful. Bigger than the villa bungalows and after looking around the resort I think I preferred ours. Larger and more private. The room was stunning. Large and spotless. Beautiful comfy bed, soft pillows and linen, great bathroom and large balcony. We had a fridge, pool towels and daily bottled water. The resort was nice. Breakfast offered several choices and was served 7-10.30. There are a few sun loungers on the small area outside the bar. There is no beach at high tide which makes it feel a bit tight around that area. The pool is pretty. Cleaned in the morning free of leaves etc, but in the afternoon it could have done with another sweep. Plenty of beds around the pool. Reception staff there till 5pm. After that the bar staff are around till 19pm then there is an emergency phone number. The best things for us were the room itself and the location of the resort. South end of Sunrise do less congested with people and boats. 10 mins walk to Walking Street and a motorbike taxi outside most times we wanted one. 20 min walk up Sunrise beach to Zodiac where people go to watch the sunset. Beach bars all along this route. "

"Loved this hotel and their staff! Staff did everything to make me feel special and my vacation fun and relaxing. Perfect location on the beach (with sun chairs) next to restaurants, beach massage spa, and short beach walk to the Walking Street & Sunset Beach. Will stay here again. "
