"The place itself was fine for our needs; however, I do have concerns over the welfare of the animals on site. The donkey enclosure was small, full of faeces, and had no fresh grass for the donkeys. There are numerous birds gulls? a rabbit, at least 3 ducks all in an enclosure, with very water. Not a natural or good environment for them!!! I will be looking at animal welfare laws in San Marino, and contacting the appropriate people over this. "

"Grand Hotel San Marino is just outside the main wall of the city what make is possible to be able to park but you are still a few steps from the main entrance. Beautiful view from the room and restaurant associated with the hotel is one of the best ones in town."

"The hotel in itself is great, for the price, really friendly staff, nice room, not expensive, everything. The problem lies in the fact that it is right on a highway. The website may say that it is a few hundred metres from the stop for buses to/from Rimini - what it does not say is that you are practically taking your life in your hands to walk alongside a highway to get to it, especially in the dark.
