"The room was huge and gorgeous. The bathroom was very nice. But if I'd known my "ocean view" was blocked by scaffolding, I would have booked elsewhere. The bar and the restaurant were excellent, but the breakfast was cold. And between the vent in the bathroom being noisy and the fact that I could hear the bar music all night long from my room, it wasn't particularly quiet. All in all it was a good stay."

"The property was very convenient to everything. The ammenities are becoming a little tired. Also they say a self service laundry is available !!! Unfortunately there isn’t one, and hasn’t been for over 2 years. So that needs to be corrected."

"A classic seaside hotel with its own little bar and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Local kippers for breakfast was a treat, as was a pint of nicely kept cask ale before retiring to bed. "

"The room was clean and tidy. Paint on one of the walls was peeling and the shower did have some black between the tiles. Bed was comfomfortable and there was plenty of tea and coffee available. Only saw the staff when leaving but were very polite. "

"Lift not in use. Booked before we knew. Main reason we booked as both of us struggle with stairs. Booked through hotels .com. and they state lift not in use overnight. My fault as i didn't check on the hotel site. They did show lift out of action. Lesson learnt. Bathroom very small and dated. Room basic as expected, clean and had kettle etc. Breakfast was included. Juice,cereal, bacon etc. Very good. Asked for a slight change and it was no problem. Delia the lady was amazing. Nothing too much...

"Great location. Staff were extremely nice and professional. Just note there are no actual outdoor balconies here, the photos are of indoor balconies which was the oddest thing Id ever seen. The balcony was in the middle of the building facing the open walkway corridor of the rooms opposite so you cant go to sleep wirh the curtains opening hoping that daylight will wake you natrually unless you want those across from you seeing you walking in your PJs."

"We had perfect 3 day stay with attention to every detail by the staff. The very traditional hotel had many original features and I would be hard pressed to find any criticisms. My wife and I were both equally happy with our stay."
