"An amazing experience in a traditional Japanese inn! The room was expansive and spacious, and definitely try the onsen, even if it seems intimidating to try as a foreigner. I experienced it in the winter after hiking snow trails, so it really soothes the body! The surrounding resort is beautiful and easy to walk to many hotspots in the area. The non-reservation restaurant on B1F is nice, but their menu is limited in the evening, so plan ahead if you are looking for nighttime dining. "

At the 9th floor public bath, you can choose from indoor or outdoor hot pools, warm pool, cold pool, sauna, and water massage. "Huge nice resort with beautiful indoor and outdoor onsens. Breakfast and dinner buffet were delicious and variety of different cuisines from various regions. Walkable to lovely bridges nearby. Comfortable stays. "

"I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was small, as I expected. I would have liked a closet or some drawers so I could unpack instead of keeping my things in my suitcase. Otherwise the room had everything I needed. The room was clean and the staff at the front desk were helpful and polite. The breakfast room provided lots of choices and the room itself was comfortable."

"The outdoor onsen pool for kids to play is very good. However, we feel disappointed with the food. We had dinner at 6:30 (the last time slot offered by the hotel), at 6:50 some food already running out and no refill. I have visited Japan for many times and never seen this happens before. "The hotel is on the ski school and slopes. Very convenient in that regard but it's village is limited and to go to Hiraful lively village, it takes 30 minutes by a bus that runs every 30 minutes. The hotel itself is very dated with old doors and rooms and rugs. I'd give it 3 to 4 stars. Definitely not 5 and not worth $600 a night. "
