"I decided to ignore the bad reviews and booked a 3-night stay. We arrived early from our flight and the front desk was very welcoming. We asked if we could hang out at the Emerald Beach Cafe until our room was ready and the ladies were extremely friendly and instructed us where to go. The Resort is on the beach and beautiful. "Having a lot of hotel amenities was not important to us as we spend our time on excursions, etc, needing the hotel only for sleeping. Bluebeard is good for that. The walk to local restaurants and shopping is quite a journey, so you will either have to rent a car ( they drive on the left ) or taxi everywhere. Be careful of a few of the cab drivers up charging you. A mixed bag of good and not so good attitudes with the staff, which is what you will find throughout the island. Overall, not a bad...
