"What a wonderful hotel, and in a brilliant location. Fabulous pool and spa, games room was great for our teenage grandson, and location wonderful, with fab views over the lake from our room. Steam train and aquarium within about 30 steps, as well as Boat rides. Drinks and food a bit pricey, but only 20 mins from Ulverston. Also within easy reach within South Lakes zoo. Whats not to like! "

"Great Staff and location make this five star Constantly surprised how inconvenient and expensive parking is in the UK. Unfortunately we were later in the evening on a busy weekend so I ended up parking down the street in the central city parking lot"

"The hotel is great our room was exceptional 304. The staff are courteous. The access to the health club is a real bonus. Only thing that did not feel quite right for us was the breakfast. It felt disjointed, not presented well ie the bread only brown and white sliced just dumped in a pile. Cold plates for a luke warm "hot breakfast" all in all nothing wrong but needs someone to give it an overview. "

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given a little tour of the property when we checked in. The grounds were absolutely beautiful with a lovely view of the lake. We enjoyed our meals in the dining room and had a drink in the bar. The room was comfortable and clean. It was as an easy walk to the ferry boat dock and to several restaurants and shops. "
