"A nice surprise. The room was large, newly remodeled, and clean. Large TV, plenty of plug-ins, Fridge, Microwave, and coffee pot. Nice breakfast (however the eggs and gravy were gone). I would stay here again. There was a good restaurant across the parking lot."

"This resort looked and felt like a cozy resort. I stayed in the winter & the natural wood structures and high beam ceilings are nice in the lobby. The inside is very large & there are a lot of things to do. The hot tub is a long oval shape so it fits many ppl spaciously. There's a small gameroom, tables w/ boardgames, a small movie theatre room (all free). There was great live music playing in the lounge which can be heard in the lobby during by the fire. The piano player & sax/flute player set a great vibe. The only downside was that the day spa's hot tub was broken again so we chose not to do the spa however i wish we couldve bc their spa is actually very very nice. The room was clean and remodeled. Good size and the bed/pillows were VERY comfortable. There were guests hanging out on nooks with couches & tables having a good time. The restaurants liked nice fm the outside. In the morning there is a coffee cafe. I would recommend The Abbey. "

"Best hotel in Rockford. 5 star service at 2 star price. Felt like home (not a hotel). Hotel room clean well-stocked everything worked. Cosy small hotel. Handy location next to Hard Rock Casino buses to Downtown Rockford Chicago. Free hotel breakfast (waffles) tasted nice."

"This was a great stay! The decor was nice and cozy. There were nice sitting areas around the lobby. There is a restaurant on the premises. The indoor pool is small, but a nice option during the cooler seasons. The room nice amenities, microwave, fridge and a bar sink. The beds were comfortable and clean. The hotel was very quiet and we appreciated the quiet hours rules. This loction was right in the middle of the action and the water view as spectacular. "
