Left another Wyndham hotel in Rockford which Was terrible.This experience was so much better. Much cleaner, better breakfast and felt safe as woman alone. Staff friendly and helpful.

TV did not work and had owners in room several times to get it operational....cold water several times with no hot water....did not make bed....small old white towels and they made sure you only had two washcloths, 2 hand towels and 2 regular towels. I you wanted to get cleaned up in the morning and then again in the evening....Forget that! Reminds me of the old Super 8's....certainly nothing special for the price they are charging!!!!!

Nice stay, I had a couple issues on extended stay and the staff responded well! Upgrades seem to be taking place with the new branding, hopefully it will continue to improve. Currently the best branded hotel in Woodstock.

The hotel is the best option in an area of limited places to stay. There is a restaurant with great food right next door. There is also a live music venue within walking distance. The hotel is close to the local Walmart in case you need something you left behind. The staff was helpful and our rooms were very clean. The local Woodstock square had some great and unique shopping and dining options and is a few blocks away. Great local brewery and two bakeries on the square with a weekend farmers market in season as well.

The grounds had bottles, cans and other trash in the parking lot. The shower in the room had no light, which is probably a good thing so you couldn’t see what was in there. Highly doubt those sheets had been changed. Smelled like curry anyplace inside the hotel. Never stay here.

Bad smell
There was a terrible terrible smell in the rooms, like wet animals. We originally checked in and immediately had to switch rooms the smell was so bad. Unfortunately, the next room was only a bit better. It is clear that no care is taken in thoroughly cleaning these rooms. There should be pet only rooms so that the smell is isolated to people with pets. After breakfast, we were locked out of our room and the maid couldn’t get it open. The manger came, begrudgingly, and pushed and pulled the door until it finally opened. This is not very safe or convenient to say the least. This is not the first time they have heard this complaint so the obviously do not care enough to thoroughly clean the rooms.

THE ROOM WAS TERRIBLE. SMELL IN LOBBY WHEN YOU FIRST WALK IN JUST THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS COMING FROM OUTSIDE. THE SHOWER WAS DIRTY AND HAD BUGS IN IT. THE TOLIET WOULD NOT STOP RUNNING. THE DOOR TO THE ROOM WAS BROKE AND YOU HAD TO MAN HANDLE IT TO OPEN OR CLOSE IT. VERY UNSAFE. AFTER WE CHECKED IN WITHIN 1 HOUR WE COMPLAINED TO THE FRONT DESK WHO CALL THE MANAGER TO TELL THEM WE NEEDED TO CHECK OUT BECAUSE OF THE UNSAFE CONDITIONS AND THEY WOULD NOT REFUND OUR MONEY. WE WENT BACK AND FORTH WITH THEM FOR HOURS WITH NO SATIFACTION FROM THEM. I BOOKED WITH EXPEDIA AND THEY WOULD NOT HELP US EITHER. SO I ENDED UP PAYING FOR A NIGHT STAY HERE AND STILL HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL TO STAY. OTHER PEOPLE CHECKED IN AT SAME TIME AND THEY ALSO HAD ISSUES. THEIR ROOMS STUNK JUST LIKE OURS. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

It exceeded our expectations for the cost. We were particularly impressed by the tasty and abundant breakfast. The coffee was even good...a rarity in hotel breakfasts.
