"I booked 3 nights as this was the closest to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. On arrival my booking was denied and I was told to go away. I persisted and showed my booking on my phone. Backwards and forwards for over an hour, trying to convince reception. Whilst waiting in the tiny lobby many young couples came to the window to try and obtain a room to be told hotel full. "Great location and amenities were also good. Bathroom needed a good scrubbing. It was not very clean and water pressure was horrible. Also hot water kept running out. Bed was very hard! Needs better mattress. Staff was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Very helpful. "

"This is the newer “suites” property, the hotel (which I stayed in a few weeks ago) is around the corner. It is perfectly fine in terms of cleanliness and comfort but entirely lacking any kind of atmosphere. (But do you need atmosphere?) the current closure of the metro line between Balderas and Observatorio does complicate transport somewhat - there are integrated shuttle buses running constantly, and the bus ticket covers the metro and vice versa. But obviously buses are subject to traffic...
