Good: they had our prepaid booking
Bad: asked for upstairs facing east. The gave us downstairs facing west and a double decker dreary view of water tanks.
Good: they moved us one floor up and facing east and dreary but much more entertaining view of dirty swimming pool and gang trying to clean it, brought us a plastic table to fit in the tiny space at corner of bed and window.
Bad: no screens, window not aligned.
Worst: overwhelming smell of moth balls eroding in sink, drain. Almost impossible to breathe until removed, even then the smell lingered, making us gag.
Not so good: dim dining room, dim bar, all accessed thru opaque doors. Breakfast took ages and consisted of white bread two pieces of fruit and pale eggs. Ten empty tins of instant coffee and you have to ask for hot water. Whoever built this place did a really bad job and things fell apart as we touched them. But... it was clean, towels pristine, sheets unsoiled, air conditioner howled away...
